The Willsenton R8 with upgraded KT88 tubes works very well with my system. The sound is pure, very detailed, with an impressive sound stage, well balanced (except at very high volume). Every track is enjoyable to listen to. I am lacking a pre-out to connect a sub woofer. The remote is very quick on the volume but useable (with a bit of training), however it drains the batteries very quickly - whether you use it or not - and requires opening the body with 6 screws every time, which is not convenient. The unit was very well packaged for shipping and has a worked flawlessly.
