A. Product features
This SoundArtist Audio Signal Isolator is an Audio coupling isolation transformer. It can isolate each Audio device in the Audio system to eliminate noise. In the Audio system, when using the audio devices, there will often be AC interference noise, and there will be AC noise or other noise in the speaker, which is caused by the Common Ground potential difference of each device or the sound source have an excrescent output voltage. Because there is a potential difference between the grounding of the sound source and the grounding of the amplifier, or the sound source have an excrescent output voltage, and the two devices are connected together to produce AC noise, the better way is to use audio coupling isolation transformer to separate the devices, so as to suppress the noise brought by the common ground or the excrescent output voltage from sound source, and this coupling isolation has no effect on the sound quality. Why does the sound source have an excrescent output voltage? Sometimes, the sound source device leaks electricity or because of other reasons, the sound source device electrically charged, it may be AC or DC. Maybe some users say, my tube amplifier have a problem, not because of the sound source device, because when I use another amplifier, there is not any noise. Ah, well, most of time, the amplifiers have a built-in coupling isolation transformer. But some tube amplifier want to go for the best sound, don't have a built-in coupling isolation transformer. At this time, if the sound source device have any problem, the tube amplifier may have a noise and the other amplifier has not noise. It is 2 design thought, it is not easy to say which one is better. How to test if the sound source device have a problem? Read point B below,
B. Test if this SoundArtist Audio Signal Isolator fit your Audio system.
If your Audio system have a noise, how to find if the noise come from the sound source?
Test 1, if your Audio system have a noise, remove all the input cables at the amplifier, there is no any input cable at the amplifier. Adjust the volume knob, if there is not any noise after you remove all the input cables at the amplifier, that mean your sound source have a problem, this SoundArtist Audio Signal Isolator can stop the noise.
Another way to test, if your Audio system have a noise, use a MP3 player with built-in battery or iPhone or Android phone, connet it to the amplifier with a 3.5mm plug to 2 RCA plug cable, test, if there is not any noise, that mean your sound source have a problem, this SoundArtist Audio Signal Isolator can stop the noise.
Why do we test like above? Because after we test this 2 ways, we can find if the noise come from your sound source because of potential difference between your sound source and amplifier or the excrescent output voltage from sound source. In this case, SoundArtist Audio Signal Isolator can stop the noise.
