6P6P VS 6V6
In my previous review I stated that it was good to replace the original 6P6P tube with a 6V6GT NOS American Sylvania tube.
And it sounded really good... for 100 hours.
After that the Reisong Q6 preamp started making a crackling sound upon turn on.
The crackling would subside after 60 minutes or so, but did not go away completely.
I figured it was the 6V6GT tube and sure enough when I switched back to the original 6P6P tube the crackling went away.
So I purchased a new J&J 6V6S tube thinking the Sylvania 6V6GT was bad but the J&J also caused the crackling sound.
So now I use the original 6P6P.
I don't know why this has happened, I just write this review as information for consideration.
